Spring Break

We took a trip to the sunshine state in March.

A wonderful trip..... Time spent with family. Fun in the sun. Warm breezy beach days. Ice cream at sundown. Palm trees everywhere. Cold, bottled Coronas. Children laughing. Sandcastles. Cuban Sandwiches and crab cakes (yum). Sand in our toes. Flip flops and sandals. Shell hunting. Splashing around. Giggles. Screams of excitement. Sand everywhere. Warm, sunshiny faces.

THESE ARE THE DAYS

These Are The Days is one of my favorite songs by the 10,000 Maniacs. The song reminds us that we are all truly blessed and lucky. Life gives us every day miracles. But most of us are too busy to notice these daily blessings. Slow down, breathe easily and let your senses soak in your surroundings.

I want to remember these days. I want to cherish every hour, minute and second with my children, family and friends. And, I want to teach them to see the beauty in their world and to cherish all that they have.

So, I've titled this blog These Are The Days. These are the days to remember. These are the days to cherish. These are the days to fill with laughter. These are the days to remember that I am lucky and blessed.
