Dear Santa

Today *M* wrote her very first Dear Santa letter.

Dear Santa,
I would like a kitchen.
Thank you.

This year, *M* is asking Santa for a play kitchen. I was surprised when she told me that she wanted a kitchen. She plays with one at school and at the YMCA and she thought it would be fun to have one at home too. She also wants pots and pans ... just like mommy.

These Are The Days is one of my favorite songs by the 10,000 Maniacs. The song reminds us that we are all truly blessed and lucky. Life gives us every day miracles. But most of us are too busy to notice these daily blessings. Slow down, breathe easily and let your senses soak in your surroundings.

I want to remember these days. I want to cherish every hour, minute and second with my children, family and friends. And, I want to teach them to see the beauty in their world and to cherish all that they have.

So, I've titled this blog These Are The Days. These are the days to remember. These are the days to cherish. These are the days to fill with laughter. These are the days to remember that I am lucky and blessed.
