We took the kids to Burt's Pumpkin Patch in the mountains of North Georgia. It was a beautiful Fall afternoon. We go to Burt's every year. The farm has thousands of pumpkins! Big ones, small ones and itty-bitty ones too! The smell of fresh apple cider and pumpkin bread permeated the barn store. Mmmmm.....fresh apple cider. There's nothing better than fresh AC.
It brings back warm fuzzy memories from my own childhood. I remember clearly picking apples from the trees on the Catskill Farm and loading them into the back of dads wagon - which he pulled with the John Deere tractor. He then brought the apples to the cider mill. With excitement, I watched the apples being loaded into the wooden mill. Fresh apples being pressed right in front of my eyes. The smell was invigorating. I thought it was amazing! We took gallons and gallons of fresh apple cider home with us. What great memories.
