Happiness Is.....

I attended a school performance by the third and fourth graders at my daughter's school recently. There was a song that stood out from all the rest and brought tears to my eyes. Their angelic voices and the simplicity of the lyrics resonated with me. The song was, "Happiness Is" from Your A Good Man Charlie Brown. Check out the video here and listen to the words.

It's the simple things that make us happy. The small moments in our day that make our hearts smile. This song inspired me to compile a group of photo's that made me smile in 2010. Here is my photo set titled, Happiness Is. It's my year in review.

THESE ARE THE DAYS

These Are The Days is one of my favorite songs by the 10,000 Maniacs. The song reminds us that we are all truly blessed and lucky. Life gives us every day miracles. But most of us are too busy to notice these daily blessings. Slow down, breathe easily and let your senses soak in your surroundings.

I want to remember these days. I want to cherish every hour, minute and second with my children, family and friends. And, I want to teach them to see the beauty in their world and to cherish all that they have.

So, I've titled this blog These Are The Days. These are the days to remember. These are the days to cherish. These are the days to fill with laughter. These are the days to remember that I am lucky and blessed.
