Maelyn had her first day at school on Wednesday. She is so excited to be going back to school. Last week we all went for open house where we got to know her classroom teacher's and got a tour of the room. For her first day Maelyn got to be line leader for the day because she was the first kid to arrive. She was so excited about that. Being line leader is a "big deal" for little kids.
It's a Christian based school and every Wednesday they go to the chapel (a.k.a. God's Building) and sing songs and listen to stories about God. There's lots of fun and exciting activities planned for the year and I can't wait to attend them.
Overall, she had a great first day and a great week. We're really excited about this new school.
