COFFEE CRAZE NATION

Is Starbucks taking over? Everywhere I go there is a Starbucks or a Starbucks is opening up. I drove to my chiropractors office this morning and passed 5 Starbucks along the way. The drive is only 8 miles and takes me maybe 15 minutes to get there. On my way home I decided to write down the mile markers. This is the breakdown:

Mile Marker 0.1 - Starbucks #1
Mile Marker 2.1 - Starbucks #2 opening soon
Mile Marker 2.8 - Starbucks #3
Mile Marker 3.1 - Starbucks #4 located in Target right behind Starbucks #3
Mile Marker 5.9 - Starbucks #5

Is this really necessary? Why are there so many and why are they spaced so close together?

These Are The Days is one of my favorite songs by the 10,000 Maniacs. The song reminds us that we are all truly blessed and lucky. Life gives us every day miracles. But most of us are too busy to notice these daily blessings. Slow down, breathe easily and let your senses soak in your surroundings.

I want to remember these days. I want to cherish every hour, minute and second with my children, family and friends. And, I want to teach them to see the beauty in their world and to cherish all that they have.

So, I've titled this blog These Are The Days. These are the days to remember. These are the days to cherish. These are the days to fill with laughter. These are the days to remember that I am lucky and blessed.
