Today I decided to make some homemade hummus from a recipe off of Happy Foody. Thank you Sara from Beautiful Montana - It is delicious!!
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked Garbanzo beans;
3-5 Tablespoons of Fresh Squeezed Lemons;
2-3 Tablespoons of Tahinni;
2-3 Tablespoons of EVOO (extra virgin olive oil);
2* Large garlic cloves (My family loves garlic);
1/2 teaspoon of Toasted Sesame Oil;
1/2 teaspoon of Sea Salt;
3-4 Tablespoons of Water;
Fresh Ground Paper
In a blender or food processor combine all the above referenced ingredients. Puree them until you reach a smooth and creamy consistency. Add small amounts of water as you begin pureeing and then more as needed. With a spatula scrape down the sides of the blender or food processor and continue to puree. Repeat this step to ensure all the garbanzo beans have been pureed.
Once finished place in a bowl and season additionally with salt, pepper, lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil. Serve with chips, carrots, or crackers. Whatever your heart desires. Enjoy!
